Eels Lake is a large lake that because of seasonal roads has been kept more of a cottage lake. The lake is surrounded by crown with no back lot development. This lake is affected by the trent canal system, therefore in the fall the water level does drop.
1/2 hour to 45 Minutes South of Bancroft, several cottage roads to access this large lake.

6 1/2 Miles or 945.8(ha), Maximum depth 29.9 Metres, Mean depth 6.7 Metres.
Lake Character
Large quiet lake for its size, a real cottagey, Muskoka type lake. All the back land around Eels Lake is crown. The lake is 40% crown land. Most of the roads are seasonal but changing quickly to year round. One of the better priced larger lakes. The public boat launch is off Hwy 28 south from Bancroft, right at Eels Lake Public Landing Road.
